Abstract

Un método de codificación de imagen capaz de mejorar la eficiencia de la codificación, un dispositivo de codificación de imagen, un método de decodificación de imagen, un dispositivo de decodificación de imagen, y un dispositivo de codificación/decodificación de imagen son proporcionados. El método de codificación de imagen incluye: una etapa de adquisición de señal objetivo de codificación (S401) que obtiene una señal objetivo para la codificación que es contenida en una unidad de procesamiento de datos de imagen; una etapa de binarización (S402) que genera. una señal binaria mediante la binarización de la señal objetivo; una etapa de selección de contexto (S403) que selecciona un contexto para la señal objetivo de una pluralidad de contextos; una etapa de codificación aritmética (S404) que codifica, en forma aritmética, la señal binaria utilizando la codificación de la información de probabilidad asociada con el contexto seleccionado en la etapa de selección de contexto; y una etapa de actualización (S405) que actualiza la información de probabilidad de codificación en función de la señal binaria. La etapa de selección de contexto selecciona un contexto común para la señal objetivo y una señal objetivo con un diferente tamaño de unidad de procesamiento.
