Abstract

The invention relates to a method for tilt casting components, wherein at least one casting mold (3a, 3b) for accommodating a metal melt is pivoted together with at least one pouring basin (6a, 6b) by a first pivot angle in a first pivot direction from a home position to a first pivot position. The casting mold (3a, 3b) is cleaned or coated, or at least one core is inserted. The casting mold (3a, 3b) is pivoted in a second pivot direction opposite the first pivot direction so as to pass through the home position or in the first pivot direction into a second pivot position, which is different from the first pivot position and in which the casting mold has a second pivot angle. The one pouring basin (6a, 6b) is filled with a liquid metal melt. Subsequently, the at least one casting mold (3a, 3b) is pivoted together with the pouring basin (6a, 6b) in the opposite direction into the home position in such a way that the melt flows into the casting mold (3a, 3b) in a laminar manner.
