Abstract
The method is preferably used to manufacture two-part cans comprising a body and a closure, the body having a variety of shapes, and the method making expansion possible by various processes which use specific tools to expand the container until the desired shape is obtained. The can body (1) is conveyed (2) to the equipment (3) by means of a conveyor system with an endless screw (4) that is rotated by means of gears (5) in synchrony with the entry carousel (6), over the cardan shaft (14) and the angular transmission box (15). The can body (1) is transferred by means of gears (8) through the entry carousel (6) to the expansion station (7) where the two-part can body (1) is expanded. The expanded can body is transferred by gears (10 and 11), with the same type of synchronisation, from the station (7) to an exit conveyor belt (13), through an exit carousel (9).
