Abstract
Una estación de base transmite señales en una frecuencia (f1) en un intervalo de transmisión activa (TI) que tiene un tiempo de inicio y que es parte de un ciclo de transmisión (TC) que incluye otros intervalos de transmisión activa para otras frecuencias (f0, f1, f2, f3) que aparecen en un esquema de transmisión discontinua predeterminado que especifica la relación (?1, A2, A3) entre los tiempos de inicio de los intervalos de transmisión activa de las frecuencias del conjunto. La estación móvil escudriña el conjunto de frecuencias durante un ciclo de escudriñamiento (SC) correspondiente al ciclo de transmisión (TC) y determina las frecuencias a las cuales las estaciones de base transmiten. El inicio de cada escudriñamiento se hace en un punto en el tiempo que es especificado para la frecuencia correspondiente por el esquema de transmisión discontinua y el escudriñamiento de una frecuencia implica terminar el escudriñamiento de esta frecuencia al final de un intervalo de tiempo (TR) de longitud predeterminada si no se detecta señal dentro de este intervalo.
