Abstract

Se describen dispositivos y métodos usados en una red inalámbrica que emplean el enrutamiento geográfico al usar ubicaciones del nodo virtual. Tales ubicaciones del nodo virtual pueden calcularse mediante una computadora central que reúne información de uno o todos los nodos. Cada nodo puede identificar, por ejemplo, a sí mismo y a sus nodos circundantes y proporcionar un valor indicativo de la distancia de radiofrecuencia (RF) a tales nodos circundantes. Los ejemplos de indicadores de la distancia de RF incluyen, entre otras cosas, a una indicación de la intensidad de la señal recibida (RSSI) y a la tasa de éxito del bloque de transmisión (PSR).
