Abstract

Se proporciona un acero de refuerzo con elevada resistencia mecánica que comprende, además de hierro, a lo sumo aproximadamente 0.5% en peso de carbono, a lo sumo aproximadamente 0.5% en peso de vanadio y/o niobio y los elementos residuales usuales de recortes de acero. Se proporciona un método para reforzar una vivienda de los daños resultantes por la actividad sísmica, el método comprende proporcionar, como un componente de la vivienda, al menos una rebar de una composición que comprende de, además de hierro, a lo sumo aproximadamente 0.5% en peso de carbono, a lo sumo aproximadamente 0.5% en peso de vanadio y/o niobio, a lo sumo aproximadamente 1.7% en peso de manganeso, a lo sumo aproximadamente 0.5% en peso de silicio, y los elementos residuales usuales de recortes de acero.
