Abstract
Se proporciona un método para producir calor en frío para enfriar un proceso. El agua de mar es bombeada a una profundidad seleccionada y enfriada para crear una mezcla de hielo y salmuera. El calor en frío es obtenido al derretirse el hielo. Un sistema de enfriamiento de proceso para producir calor en frío también es provisto. Un refrigerante circula en una fase de evaporación en un circuito refrigerante. Un intercambiador de calor en la fase de evaporación congela una porción del agua de mar en el sistema de tubería con el refrigerante. Una planta de enfriamiento es conectada al sistema de tubería para recibir el agua de mar congelada. La planta de enfriamiento comprende un tanque de separación para separar la porción congelada del agua de mar de la salmuera, y un intercambiador de calor para enfriar el proceso mediante el intercambio de calor con el agua de mar congelada.
