Abstract
Se describe en la presente una codificación de gráficos integrados (EGC) escalar mejorada para compresión de HD inalámbrica. La trama de imagen a codificar se divide en bloques, los cuales se dividen además en grupos de colores. Esto grupos se codifican a un plano de bit a la vez. El método y sistema de EGC escalar mejorada utilizan datos de agrupación compartidos entre componentes de color, pero se codifican planos de bit de cada color separadamente. Además, durante la codificación una agrupación de segundo nivel puede ocurrir en la señalización de división de los grupos El sistema y método descritos en la presente retienen la simplicidad de la EGC escalar y alcanzan una eficiencia comparada con la EGC por vector.
