Abstract
Se describe un método implementado por computadora para la visualización/presentación de un modelo por computadora, el modelo por computadora que comprende una pluralidad de componentes en donde el método comprende: almacenar una pluralidad de partes de al menos una de la pluralidad de componentes, cada parte incluye información geométrica para la visualización/presentación de la parte, almacenar información indicativa de la posición y orientación de una pluralidad de componentes en un sistema de coordenadas, determinar una relación espacial entre los componentes individual, determinar para al menos un componente varias partes almacenadas para utilizar durante la visualización/presentación del componente, basándose en la relación espacial determinada entre los componentes individuales. Al utilizar la relación espacial entre los componentes para determinar varias partes para utilizar durante la visualización/presentación de un componente, conocimiento sobre la geometría de los componentes individuales y las conexiones de los componentes con otros componentes puede utilizarse para encontrar las partes ocultas que pueden removerse.
