Abstract
Un método para determinar la densidad (D) de un fluido multifase (F) que fluye a través de un tubo (1) y que contiene un gas (G) el cual determina una fluctuación de la densidad instantánea real del fluido (F), el método comprende los siguientes pasos: definir una serie de periodos de tiempo consecutivos (S0, S), los cuales son más cortos que el periodo de tiempo correspondiente al periodo de frecuencia más alta de la fluctuación de la densidad instantánea real; transportar a través de una sección (2) del tubo (1) un haz de fotones (3) adecuado para experimentar una atenuación mientras cruza el fluido (F), contar el número real (A) de fotones del haz (3) que cruzan el tubo (1) durante un primer periodo de tiempo (S) de la serie; calcular una cantidad corregida (C) como el valor promedio ponderado del conteo real (A) y del conteo corregido previo (C0) calculado para el periodo de tiempo precedente (S0); convertir el valor del conteo corregido (C) en un valor correspondiente de la densidad (D) del fluido multifase (F) para el primer periodo de tiempo (S) a través de una función predefinida.
