Description

PORTABLE DISPLAY SYSTEM BASED ON EXPANDABLE AND FOLDABLE MODULAR STRUCTURES FIELD OF INVENTION The present invention is related to portable display systems in general; in particular it refers to a portable display system based on expandable and collapsible modular structures, which offers versatility in the generation of multiple structural configurations, which can easily and quickly reconfigure in form and appearance, offering high structural strength and particularity of being able to interconnect in multiple modules, generating structures from simple to complex, offering functional, structural, use and application advantages for the exhibition of products and diverse advertising.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In the field of exhibitions and exhibitions, equipment called "Customs" or "to the media or over design" are common, in which wood coatings or finishes of paint, formica and other materials that are expensive and have impacts are used. negative for the ecology, as well as the immoderate felling of trees, the use of paints and solvents that damage the ozone layer.
The use of wood, agglomerates and wood derivatives, metal and steel parts, toxic aerosol paints and contaminants and hazardous waste such as thiner, benzine and other chemicals are commonly used, which represents a negative impact on the ecology; besides that its cost is very high, it requires tools for its assembly, as well as labor for the assembly and transportation as they are heavy structures.
The market of exhibitions has year after year a growth in the number of events annually and the main trend in these times is a frank rejection of traditional systems, as customers increasingly reduce and optimize their advertising budgets, in addition to they require avant-garde and flexible designs, easy to assemble, that avoid the use of wood and steel pieces, because the cost and time of execution of the assemblies is greater, with much waste of wood, excessive amounts of paint, skilled labor, etc..
The general tendency of the market is to use exhibitors with systems that use plasticized fabrics for the cleanliness of work and the economy that it represents, as well as the use of light structures, easy to assemble and that can be compacted for transportation.
In the state of the art are well-known display systems, portable and folding that are used in exhibition fairs, in advertising events, in shopping centers or other events where it is necessary a structure that allows to show and / or display products and / o to support advertising on canvas, rigid or semi-rigid panels.
Folding structures for display typically comprise a number of rigid members that are pivotally fixed in connecting means to generate folding and portable armored structures.
For example, in the Mexican patent base, the MX220539 patent was placed. Matthias Kemeny and Timothy L, O'neal filed on January 28, 2000 and granted on May 25, 2004 and claiming priority US 08/902344, which protects a portable display system (2) that includes a frame ( 4) foldable constituted of a plurality of box units (6) defined by separate cubes (12) with pivotable members (16) extending therebetween. In one aspect of the invention, an immobilization feature (26) is provided between the members (16) and the hub (12). In another aspect of the invention, a hook-type assembly (50) is described between the members (16) and the hub (12). More than one of these display systems (12) can be mounted together with a clasp (28) provided between adjacent outermost cubes (12) of two different systems (2). Also described is a cage (38), which allows the collapsible frame (4) to be assembled and disassembled into two separate packable parts. A button (22) is also described which allows the two parts of the display system (2) to be removably mounted together.
This system is complex and requires multiple components structurally difficult to assemble and does not allow the structure to generate multiple configurations in different shapes, sizes and arrangements.
In the United States was also located US Patent 4,473,986 of Theodore R. Zeigler of October 2, 1984, which was also requested and granted in Mexico with the number MX167902 already expired in Mexico, said patent discloses a structural module | that is capable of of being manipulated between a disassembled and a widened condition. and locked, comprising: a plurality of rod elements arranged generally parallel and in a bundle when the module is in disassembled condition a first group of plug means centrally associated with those ends of the rod elements projecting towards one end of the bundle, and a second group of plug means centrally associated with those ends of the rod elements, projecting towards the other end of the bundle at least some of the plug means of the first group that centrally connect some of the bundle elements. rod to each other, and at least some of the plug means of the second group that centrally connect some of the rod elements to each other, such that the plug means move in a predetermined pattern, when the module is manipulated to the enlarged condition, at least a pair of plug means comprises a plug means of the first group and a plug plug outlet of the second group that constitutes a split plug assembly, occupying a particular position in the pattern, and means for locking the pair of plug means to maintain the frame in flared condition.
This type of system does not offer the benefits offered by the system of our invention and does not allow multiple configurations or structural resistance.
US Pat. No. 4,992,212 of James N. Morgan of February 26, 1991, now obsolete, is also disclosed, which discloses a collapsible structure comprising a plurality of rotating masts connected pi metalically in a connector element comprising a quadrangular shape which in one The face comprises edges defining cavities on the four sides where the ends of the masts are pivotally connected and the center comprising a spring element. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION In general, the display system based on expandable and collapsible modular structures, in accordance with the present invention, is composed of a plurality of connector nodes in a first plane and a plurality of connector nodes in a second plane; said connecting nodes consist of a body of substantially quadrangular shape defining an anterior face, a rear face and four perimeter edges in which a longitudinal eyebrow with stop is comprised at one end near the corner of the body, which act as male connector elements perimeters of the nodes; said back face comprises a flange distributed in the shape of a swastika or swastika cross, whose arms are bent at right angles generating a cavity in each quadrant (two on the vertical axis and two on the horizontal axis), adapted to receive the ends of the bars. pivotal connections that are fixed with pivoting fixing means that fit into said arms of the swastika; said pivotal connecting rods joined at the connecting nodes of a first plane extend on the vertical or horizontal axis to be joined at their opposite end in the corresponding cavities of the adjacent connector nodes of a second plane; said pivot junction bars are crisscrossed with other bars of adjacent connector nodes to generate articulated crosspieces, at whose crossing points they are joined with pivoting fixing means to generate scissor-type articulations in both vertical and horizontal axes that allows to compact and expand the configured structures .
In one of the embodiments of the invention said connecting nodes of the first and second planes centrally comprise on their front face two edges in the form of a straight cross that extend to the limit where said eyebrows are born from the perimeter edges (male connector elements of the nodes). ).
In another embodiment of the invention, said connecting nodes centrally comprise a cylindrical perforation adapted to receive a head bolt penetrating said perforation, the head being exposed to serve as a support medium for the corners of rigid or semi-rigid panels. that are mounted in these armed structures.
In another embodiment, said connecting nodes comprise a plurality of cavities, preferably circular, arranged one at each corner, adapted to receive fastening means for holding the ends or corners of fabrics, blankets, canvas or the like with different advertising.
The system also includes two rectangular channels with or without a longitudinal central eyebrow on the external face (grooves), which comprise, at their ends, female connection means at 90 ° or 180 °, which are connected in tongue-and-groove fashion in the corresponding eyebrows with end stop (male connector element) of attached connector nodes of the foreground or of the second plane; so that said gutters can be fixed horizontally and / or vertically in attached nodes of the first plane or the second plane to generate a grid on the front face of the structure and / or on the rear face of the structure, when these comprise female connections to 180 ° or can be connected transversely in attached nodes of the first and second planes, when they include female connections at 90 °, to generate a grid on the side faces (corresponding to the thickness of the structure). Said gutters offer greater stability and structural resistance and also allow the fastening of flexible, rigid or semi-rigid covering panels comprising a printed surface with diverse advertising.
Said gutters are preferably made of steel material or other metallic material to aid the fixing of the rigid or semi-rigid honeycombs to which a magnetic tape is incorporated to adhere magnetically in said gutters; 5 although said gutters can be made of another material such as wood or plastic materials in which other fixing means of the rigid and semi-rigid honeycombs can be incorporated.
• The purpose of the longitudinal central eyebrow on the outer face 10 (groove) in one of the modalities of said rectangular gutters, is that of once assembled in the structure, generating a perimeter frame in each frame or in the perimeter of a group of frames of the grid, which serve as support or containment of the perimeter edges of rigid or semi-rigid panels with advertising, together with said head bolts that penetrate the central cylindrical perforations of the connecting nodes, which contain said honeycombs in the corners.
The structure can comprise all or part of its front face 20 and / or all or part of its rear face, gutters with longitudinal central eyebrow (groove), so that each frame of the formed grid is adapted to receive a panel rigid or semi-rigid with diverse advertising of a dimension slightly smaller than the dimension of each square of the grid. '25 The structure may also comprise all or part of its front face and / or all or part of its rear face, multiple arrangements of gutters, with associations of smooth gutters and grooved gutters, where the grooved gutters may be arranged in multiple arrangements quadrangular or rectangular, whose grooves define from a frame of a single frame to a frame of several frames, to receive honeycombs of dimensions slightly smaller than the dimensions of a box of the grids and panels of dimensions that cover two or more squares of the grid , depending on the arrangement of said gutter with grooves. The above . to allow combinations of advertising panel sizes based on advertising and printed surfaces.
The connecting nodes are arranged in such a way that the end stops of said longitudinal eyebrows of each perimetral edge are facing downward, to prevent the displacement of the female connection means at 90 ° and 180 ° of the channels and in this way keep the assemble The association of nodes of the foreground and of the second plane with the interconnection of the pivot junction bars and the gutters with or without grooves that are fixed horizontally and / or vertically between each pair of attached nodes of the first plane and / or the second plane or transversally in attached nodes of the first and second planes, they allow the generation of structures of varied dimensions from basic modules of reduced size to structure of greater spread, which are straight structures.
Curved structures can be generated with the same elements, by modifying the point of intersection of the pivotal link rods with the pivoting attachment means to grant that curved shape of the structures.
In one embodiment of the described system, the shaped structures may comprise rigid panels or shelves that are mounted on the transverse crossheads defined by the pivotal connecting bars extending from the connecting nodes of the first plane to the connecting nodes of the second plane, so which define platforms where products can be placed for display.
