Description
COLUMBAR, IN PARTICULAR TO ACCOMMODATE CINERARIAN URNS
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a columbarium, in particular to house cinerary urns.
ANTECEDENTS OF THE TECHNIQUE
At present, columbariums are known that present a framework in which niches are formed to house cinerary urns in a honeycomb arrangement.
Said columbariums have substantially a vertical structure in the manner of a parallelepiped, in which the niches formed in their interior have access openings that open on a face of the columbarium.
The access openings can be closed by means of plates that substantially hang from the frame of the columbarium and generally comprise ceramic tiles on which sacred images are normally depicted, painted or printed, and arranged adjacent to each other so as to cover the face of the columbarium.
This type of columbarium suffers from some drawbacks, which include the fact that the plates covering the niches of the columbarium hang from the frame of such a columbarium by means of hooks, and to unhook them it is necessary to use a suitable tool that supports the tile while it moves while it is released.
In addition, at present this type of columbarium does not guarantee that the niches can not be desecrated; in fact, it is enough to have the right tool to remove the covering tiles from the niches to open them and access them.
Also, since the tiles are usually heavy, the opening of the niches is not simple.
Another drawback of these columbariums is that the sacred images shown on the face of the columbarium are interrupted by the edges of the tiles, which when placed next to each other form the surface of the face, absolutely damaging to their aesthetics.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The aim of the present invention is to provide a columbarium, in particular to house cinerary urns that allows easier access to the niches that contain the urns.
Within this objective, the purpose of the invention is to guarantee that the niches that house the cinerary urns can not be desecrated by unauthorized users.
Another object of the invention is to provide a columbarium that is structurally simple and easy to use and that can be manufactured at low costs.
This aim and these and other objectives, which will be more clearly shown below, are achieved by means of a columbarium, in particular to house cinerary urns, comprising a frame in which accommodation niches are formed for said cinerary urns in an arrangement of honeycomb, characterized in that it comprises a panel for covering at least a part of the face of said columbarium, on which a plurality of openings to access said niches are opened, being provided means for moving said panel that can be operated to pass :
- of a first configuration, said panel covers said at least one face part, to hide said access openings,
- to a second configuration, in which said panel is separated from said at least one face part, so that said access openings are exposed,
- and vice versa.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Other features and advantages of the invention will be more clearly apparent from the following detailed description of a preferred, though not exclusive, embodiment of the columbarium according to the invention, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings, in which :
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a columbarium according to the invention in its first configuration;
Figure 2 is a perspective view of the columbarium according to the invention in its second configuration;
Figure 3 is a side elevational view of the columbarium according to the invention in its first configuration;
Figure 4 is a front elevational view of the columbarium according to the invention in its first configuration.
PREFERRED MODALITIES OF THE INVENTION
It should be noted that it is understood that anything that is discovered that is already known during the patented process will not be claimed and will be the subject of a disclaimer.
Referring to the figures, reference number 10 generally designates a columbarium, particularly to house urns
cinerary 11, comprising a frame 12 in which niches 13 are formed to house the cinerary urns 11 in a honeycomb arrangement.
The columbarium 10 according to the invention comprises a panel 14 for covering at least a part 15a of a face 15 of the columbarium 0, on which a plurality of openings 16 are opened to access the niches 13.
A means 17 is provided to move the panel 14 and can be operated for the transition:
- of a first configuration, in which the panel 14 covers the part 15a of the face 15, concealing the access openings 16,
- to a second configuration, in which the panel 14 is separated from the part 15a of the face 15, leaving the access openings 16 exposed,
- and vice versa.
Advantageously, doors 18 are provided to close the access openings 16 which are articulated with respect to the face 15 and which can be closed independently from each other on the access openings 16.
Conveniently, there are locks 19 for locking the doors 18, so that they close on the access openings 16 of the niches 13 to prevent access to the niches 13 of unauthorized users.
Conveniently, the movement means 17 comprise at least one hinge 20 for connecting the panel 14 to the frame 12.
Preferably, the frame 12 is substantially shaped like a parallelepiped and is vertical, and has, in the vicinity of its upper end, the panel 14 hinged so that it can oscillate.
Conveniently, the movement means 17 comprises means for supporting the panel 14 so as to separate, rising, from the face 15 in the second configuration.
The niches 13 are also conveniently shaped as parallelepipeds and their access openings 16 open on the face 15 and can be closed by the doors 18.
Advantageously, the support means comprise plungers 21, preferably of the gas-operated type, which are associated with the panel 14 and with the frame 12 substantially on its face 15.
Conveniently, in the second configuration, the pistons 21 support the panel 14, holding it elevated with respect to the face 15 of the frame 12.
The frame 12 and the doors 18 are preferably composed of stainless steel.
In addition, the panel 14 conveniently comprises a support frame 22 for a plate 23 for hiding the niches 13 in the first configuration.
The concealment plate 23 is advantageously composed of transparent material, conveniently a plastic material which is
transparent in use or glass or the like, and presents a first substantially opaque face 24, which is directed towards the face 15 of the frame 12 when the columbarium 10 is in the first configuration.
The first face 24 suitably presents an illustration, which can be seen through the concealment plate 23, which faces a second face 25 of the concealment plate 23 which is opposite to the first face 24.
Said plastic material is advantageously poly (methyl methacrylate), for example, of the type which is commonly known under the trade name Plexiglas.
In an alternative embodiment, the concealment plate 23 is conveniently composed of morphine material.
Advantageously, the frame 12 comprises a stabilizing step 26, which protrudes from the face 15 in the area where it rests on the ground of the frame 12.
The stabilizing step 26 is designed to provide stability to the frame 12 to counteract its inclination towards the side of the face 15.
In practice, it has been shown that the invention achieves the purpose and objectives proposed, providing a columbarium, in particular to house cinerary urns, which allows easier access to the niches that house the ballot boxes, while guaranteeing that they can not be desecrated by unauthorized users.
The invention conceived in this way is susceptible to numerous modifications and variations, all within the scope of the appended claims; all the details can be replaced by other technically equivalent elements.
In practice, the materials used, provided they are compatible with the specific use, as well as the contingent shapes and dimensions, can be any according to the requirements and the state of the art.
The descriptions in the Italian patent application No. PD2008A000124 of which the present application claims priority are hereby incorporated by reference.
When the technical characteristics mentioned in any claim are followed by reference symbols, those reference symbols have been included for the sole purpose of increasing the intelligibility of the claims and, consequently, said reference symbols have no limiting effect on the interpretation of each element identified by way of example by said reference symbols.
