Abstract
Se describen sistemas y metodologías que efectúan el establecimiento de un túnel IPSec para utilización en un ambiente de comunicación inalámbrica; los procedimientos de establecimiento de IPSec en estaciones base locales pueden ser utilizados para establecer túneles IPSec entre estaciones base locales situadas en sectores de acceso abierto de ambientes de comunicación inalámbrica y componentes de función de interconexión de datos en paquete colocados en la contigüidad de segmentos asegurados de los ambientes de comunicación inalámbrica; además, datos en paquete de alta velocidad, protocolo punto a punto, protocolos de autenticación por desafío mutuo pueden ser dirigidos a través de los túneles IPSec para facilitar la autenticación de terminales de acceso asociadas con las estaciones base locales a fin de facilitar las comunicaciones adicionales con componentes dispersos dentro de áreas seguras de los ambientes de comunicación inalámbrica; además, identidades de suscriptor móvil internacional (IMSI) afiliadas con las terminales de acceso asociadas con las estaciones base locales pueden ser utilizadas para identificar nodos en servicio de datos en paquete con los cuales establecer comunicaciones entre las estaciones base locales y los nodos en servicio de datos en paquete.
