Abstract

Un aparato para purificar el agua por filtración en medios filtrantes granulares, que comprende uno o varios recipientes de filtros independientes pero conectados hidráulicamente entre si por tuberías en serie o en paralelo. Dichos recipientes están asegurados a un bastidor giratorio que permite girar, invertir y sacudir violentamente los recipientes de los filtros para, agitar, desagregar y separar las partículas de los medios granulares que se encuentran dentro de dichos recipientes para facilitar la limpieza por lavado de dichos lechos filtrantes granulares. El aparato recibe el agua de una fuente a presión y descarga a un tanque elevado o a un grifo. El aparato tiene un dosificador de coagulante a la entrada del agua cruda, un limitador de caudal para asegurar una velocidad adecuada de filtración y un dosificador de desinfectante a la salida del agua filtrada.
