Abstract

Al tener una indicación de cambios al valor de calentamiento del desecho sólido municipal (MSW, por sus siglas en inglés) que tiene medios para controlarlo antes de que el MSW se suministre a la caldera hace posible el control de combustión mejorado y la capacidad aumentada de las calderas desecho-a-energía; el contenido de humedad del MSW tiene un impacto importante en su valor de calentamiento y una eficiencia de la caldera cuando hace combustión; los cambios en el contenido de humedad también cambian la densidad del MSW; al medir directamente la densidad del MSW antes de suministrarlo a la caldera permite la adición controlada de desecho de agua o líquido adicional para reducir la variación del valor de calentamiento del MSW.
