Abstract

La invención se refiere a una formulación efervescente que contiene florfenicol o un antibiótico de estructura relacionada; cuando se introduce en agua, la formulación efervescente se disuelve con mínima o ninguna agitación y provee una solución o una dispersión homogénea de florfenicol; las formulaciones por lo general están en forma de polvos de flujo libre, gránulos o tabletas; las formulaciones efervescentes son útiles para el tratamiento de infecciones bacterianas y permiten la rápida dispersión y disolución de florfenicol en los sistemas de agua potable de un animal que necesita dicho tratamiento.
