Abstract

La presente invención es un método y sistema adaptado para facilitar, entre una estación móvil (MS) y la red, una indicación de soporte para el intervalo de transmisión de tiempo reducido (RTTI). La MS puede proveer a un sistema de estación base (BSS) con una indicación de su capacidad multifranja dentro de una ráfaga de acceso enviada en el inicio de un acceso basado en la contención. En otro aspecto, la MS puede indicar que el soporte para un nuevo mensaje de Asignación Inmediata tal como el mensaje de Asignación Inmediata convencional solo puede asignar franjas de tiempo únicas. La presente invención habilita a la Red de Acceso por Radio CRAN) a asignar el RTTI y más que una franja de tiempo para los flujos de bloques temporales (TBFs) GPRS/EDGE durante una asignación de Canal de Concesión de Acceso (AGCH). El método de la presente invención puede implementarse en un producto de programa de computadora o software distribuido adaptado para ser cargado en al menos una o una pluralidad de ubicaciones de memoria y ejecutado por al menos uno o una pluralidad de procesadores de computadora respectivos.
