Abstract

The present invention is intended to control the mealybug using entomopathogen fungi, the invention being a product of the biotechnology area for controlling the Planococcus ficus plague in vine plants. A mixture of the Verticillium, Metarhizium, Beauveria and Paecilomyces genus is used, which has shown a high potential control of different insect plagues. Nevertheless, up to date said microorganisms have not been used for the control of this type of insects. A method for applying said mixture is also included, as well as the amount ratio.
