Abstract

Se presentan aqui oligonucleotidos que tienen la capacidad de estimular en gran medida la proliferacion de celulas madre mesenquimatosas multipotentes, tanto "in vitro" como "in vivo" de animales, inclusive humanos. Estos oligonucleotidos pueden utilizarse en una amplia gama de procedimientos clinicos, tales como (1) regeneracion de tejidos mesenquimatosos danados a traves de una lesion aguda, expresion genetica anormal o enfermedad adquirida por inoculacion de los ODN (oligodeoxiribunecleotidos); (2) tratamiento de un huesped de con tejido mesenquimatoso danado mediante remocion de pequenas alicuotas de medula osea; aislamiento de sus celulas madre mesenquimatosas y tratamiento del tejido danado con celulas MSC expandidas en cultivo por incubacion de uno mas de los ODN de esta invencion combinados con un medio portador biocompatible adecuado para el suministro de las MSC al lugar del cuerpo danado; (3) produccion "in vitro" de diversos tejidos mesenquimatosos por diferenciacion dirigida de las celulas MSC expandidas en cultivo por incubacion de uno o mas de los ODN de esta invencion, para reemplazar y restituir danos o defectos del tejido con dichos tejidos mesenquimatosos obtenidos "in vitro" combinados con un medio portador biocompatible adecuado para suministrar los tejidos producidos "in vitro" al lugar del cuerpo danado; y (4) tratamiento de un huesped con expresion genetica anormal con celulas MSC expandidas en cultivo por incubacion con uno o mas de los ODN de la presente invencion y transformados por procedimientos de ingenieria genetica para expresar una proteina capaz de reemplazar el defecto genetico.
