Abstract

Un aditivo incluye polialfaolefina (PAO), una fuente de calcio, y uno o mas aceites de plantas, o componentes derivados de, granos, semillas o raices, como aceite de ricino, aceite de jojoba, aceite de colza (canola), aceite de palma, aceite de coco, aceite de girasol, aceite de soya, etc. La composicion de materia preferida comprende una fuente de calcio, PAO, aceite de ricino, aceite de jojoba y metil ester de soya y/o aceite/ester de colza. El aditivo puede ser usado en combustibles que mejoren el desempeno de motores de combustion interna en terminos de la eficiencia y emisiones. El aditivo puede ser usado en lubricantes que mejoran el desempeno de componentes de metal ferroso y no ferroso de motores, canones, u otra maquinaria. El aditivo tambien puede ser usado en fluidos de corte para maquinacion y fabricacion. Usada en conjunto con otros aditivos, las modalidades de la invencion pueden ser usadas para hacer disminuir los puntos de fluidez en aceites, esteres y otros productos similares.
