Abstract
La presente invencion consiste en un elemento estructural implantable para la administracion controlada in vivo de agentes bioactivos a un sitio en el cuerpo. El elemento estructural implantable puede estar configurado en forma de una protesis implantable como, por ejemplo, un stent endoluminal, valvula cardiaca, implante oseo o similar, que sirve una doble funcion de protesis y vehiculo para un agente bioactivo. El control de la elusion de los agentes bioactivos ocurre a traves de varios miembros de cubierta de tipo voladizo que evitan la elucion del farmaco hasta que un estimulo endogeno o exogeno provoque la abertura de los miembros de cubierta y la elusion del farmaco.
