Description

SPILLING ELEMENT FOR CARTON / PLASTIC AND PACKAGING COMPOUND PACKAGING PROVIDED WITH THE SPILLING ELEMENT DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The invention relates to a pouring element for cardboard / plastic composite packaging, more particularly beverage packaging, comprising a base provided with an opening having a pouring edge and a peripheral flange, and an opening element that can be moved linearly in a guide, and to a cardboard / plastic packaging to be used with this pouring element.
DE 44 43 556 A1 discloses a pouring element as specified above, comprising an element arranged so that it can be displaced in the base and which, after opening for the first time a package provided with this pouring element , simultaneously serves as an opening element and as a sealing part. This pouring element is characterized by a small overall height, but requires improvements whenever a separate opening aid is required to open the pour opening for the first time, this opening aid representing a separate disposable part after the opening operation . This pouring element of the prior art, therefore, is not particularly friendly to the user, since the opening consists of two stages (push up and release to open).
The object of the invention is therefore to configure and refine a pouring element, initially specified and described in detail above, in such a way that the opening operation of a cardboard / plastic composite pack provided with this pouring element is improved without have to precede the advantage of a small overall height. In addition, production costs must be minimized, which is achieved by the construction of a single piece of the pouring element.
This objective is achieved in the case of a pouring element with the characteristics of the preamble of claim 1, thanks to the fact that the pouring element is applied to the outside of the top or peak of a package, this top or peak it is provided with a weakened zone, that the opening element, at its front end, has a folding puncture and tear element, which penetrates the weakened area of the package when the package is opened under the effect of restricted guide elements, it destroys the weakened area and is removed from the pouring edge together with the opening element, whereby a sufficiently large pouring opening is produced and the opening element, at its rear end projects from the base.
In the case of composite cardboard / plastic packaging provided with this pouring element the objective is achieved by a weakened area in the corner area of the top or peak, which is free of the support material and in which the opening it is simply coated with at least one layer of plastic.
The invention recognized that a flat disposing pouring element can be opened only with a pulling movement, wherein the opening element, movably disposed in the base, is used to open a packing provided with this pouring element for the first time. time. As a result of the design of the restricted guide element, it is ensured that when the opening element is pulled from the base, the piercing and tearing element is bent down around a given angle, for example 90 °, and thus penetrates inside the packaging and that at the same time the coating of the pouring opening present in the packaging material, consisting of thin sheet of plastic and possibly aluminum foil, is reliably destroyed. For this purpose, the piercing and tearing element, along its edge penetrating the interior of the package, preferably has a plurality of peripheral teeth.
The design of the piercing and tearing element in conjunction with rigidly arranged lateral guide elements ensures a "restricted control" of the piercing and tearing element, wherein the linear element of the opening element, in conjunction with the geometry of the guiding elements Lateral offers the pivoting movement of the piercing and tearing element when the gasket is opened for the first time.
According to a further teaching of the invention, the piercing and tearing element is attached to the opening element with a film hinge. This modality is particularly suitable in terms of its production from a technical aspect.
A further embodiment of the invention indicates that the contact area of the base and / or the opening element have retainer elements, which keep the opening element fixed in its open position. In this way it is ensured that the polyethylene sheet or compound made of polyethylene and aluminum sheet compressed by the piercing and tearing element, after the gasket has been opened, develops repositioning forces as strong as the size of the opening of spillage is reduced during the pouring operation.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the base and the opening element are preferably constructed as one piece and are connected to each other by means of a predetermined breaking point, which self-destructs when the package is opened by first time. The production costs for this one-piece structure are particularly low, since only one injection molding tool is required. A pouring element constructed in such a manner according to the invention is injection molded in the outwardly stretched position according to a further embodiment of the invention and the base, on its lower surface, has a cavity for receiving the opening element , inside which the opening element is pivoted approximately 180 ° before its application on the package. For this purpose, the opening element, outside the base, preferably has a two-layer structure and in the assembled position has a film hinge at its end. A predetermined breaking point between the part of the opening element projecting from the base as a gripper hook and the base, is destroyed when the pouring element according to the invention is first opened and therefore serves simultaneously as a mark of originality.
A further teaching of the invention relates to the fact that the base and the opening element can also be constructed in two pieces. The two-piece construction allows a simpler design of the used injection molding tools, but does not require two injection molding tools and thus higher production costs.
Finally, it is indicated that the base can have a lid to close the pouring element again. Preferably, the lid is configured in such a way that, when it is also closed in its pivoted position, it provides a reliable seal with the base. For this purpose, the lid, on its lower surface, preferably has a sealing element which coincides with the pouring opening, which can also consist of a flexible material.
The invention is described in detail below on the basis of a drawing, representing only a preferred exemplary embodiment, wherein: Figure 1 shows a pouring element according to the invention, partially open, in perspective view.
Figure 2 shows the elongation element according to the invention, elongated (before the final assembly), in perspective view.
Figure 3 is a plan view of the pouring element according to the invention, closed.
Figure 4 is a view of the closed pouring element in cross section along the line IV-IV of Figure 3.
Figure 5 shows the pouring element according to the invention, partially open, in plan view.
Figure 6 shows the pouring element partially open in cross section along the line VI-VI of figure 5 and Figure 7 shows the pouring element of Figure 1, however with a lid molded on the base.
Figure 1 shows, in perspective view, a pouring element according to the invention in partially open position. A base 1 has a peripheral flange 2 for its subsequent attachment to a composite package not illustrated. The base 1, at its front end, has a pouring edge 3 and encloses the last pouring opening O. The opening element 4, which at its end has a pivoting piercing and tearing element 5, is attached to the end of the opening. the base 1 turned away from the pouring edge 3. The function of the piercing and tearing element 5 can be clearly recognized from the additional figures and from the associated description.
As already explained, the pouring element according to the invention is preferably produced in one piece. Figure 2 shows how this pouring element appears after the injection molding process, that is, before the "final assembly". In the "final assembly" it is only necessary to fold down the opening element 4 about 1 80 ° in the direction of the arrow not designated in more detail, so that it is received by the base 1 having a corresponding cavity A and only a gripping hook G still protrudes from the base. In this position the pouring element according to the invention is applied to the composite packing having a corresponding weakened area in the vicinity of the pouring opening.
The "finished" pouring element is illustrated in Figures 3 and 4 in the closed position and in Figures 5 and 6 in the open middle position. A special embodiment of the piercing and tearing element 5 and the base 1 offers the restricted guidance of the piercing and tearing element 5 when the gripping hook G is manipulated. For this purpose, the piercing and tearing element 5, on its upper side, first has side cams 6A and 6B and pressure pads 7A and 7B, as is particularly clearly recognizable from figures 3 and 5. The base in the vicinity of the pouring opening OR has laterally disposed pins 8A and 8B and guide rails 9A and 9B.
When the gripping hook G is pulled out, the cams 6A and 6B are pressed down by the pins 8A and 8B and cause the piercing and tearing member 5 to pivot. In this way the thin sheet layer not illustrated of the composite package is reliably destroyed, the perforating and tearing element 5, on its lower surface, has a plurality of teeth 10 arranged peripherally. After the teeth have penetrated the sheet layer after only a short displacement of the opening element 4, the piercing and tearing element 5 is pivoted downwards by approximately 90 ° under the effect of cooperation between the pressure pads 7 A and 7B and the guide rails 9A and 9B of the base 1, wherein the extracted blade remains within the teeth 10 of the piercing and tearing element 5. In this position, bent approximately 90 °, the piercing and tearing element 5 is removed from the pouring edge 3 of the base 1, in order to thereby open the pouring opening O. Furthermore, the gripping hook G of the pouring element according to the invention has elevations 1 1, in order to improve the grip during the extraction operation.
From Figure 4 it can be clearly seen that the opening element 4 and the piercing and tearing element 5 are connected to each other by means of a film hinge 12. In this case, the contact areas 13A and 13B adjacent to the hinge of film 12 form an angle of 90 °, whereby the perforation and tearing element 5 folded reliably rests against the opening element 4. There is no illustration to show that the two contact areas 13A and 13B may also have assurance elements restricted.
To prevent now the possibility that forces of repositioning of the thin sheet of plastic extracted from the pouring area arise leading to a closing movement of the opening element 4 and therefore to an undesirable partial reduction of the pouring opening O, the opening element 4 has a plurality of retainer elements 14, which cooperate with a rest edge 15 correspondingly disposed on the lower surface of the base 1 and which keep the opening element 4 fixed in its open position, as it is evident from the extension of Figure 4.
When the package is opened for the first time, the opening element 4 must be separated from the base 1, purpose for which a predetermined breaking point 16 is provided between the two component parts, which can simultaneously serve as a mark of originality , where the consumer is indicated at a glance if the package has been previously opened or not.
From figures 4 and 6 it can be clearly seen that the opening element 4 has a two-layer structure in its area projecting from the base 1, where the layers are connected to each other with a film hinge 17. The two layers can be connected to one another, by joining or welding for example. In this way also when the package is resealed, a reliable seal is achieved in the rear area of the base element 1, the opening element, on its lower surface, has a frame 18 as it is especially recognizable in a clear manner of the Figures 2 and 6.
There is no illustration to show that the weakened zone of a paper / plastic package, matched to the pouring element according to the invention, is constructed as a groove, free of the support material in the vicinity of this slot, and the opening in the support material it is simply coated with at least one layer of plastic. In addition, the opening can also be sealed by a barrier layer, for example made of aluminum foil.
The piercing and tearing element 5 reliably destroys these layers when the gasket is first opened and exposes the pour opening O required for the spill by removing it over almost the entire length of the base 1. In this way, a particularly large exposed surface is developed, whereby the pouring element according to the invention is also suitable for use with products having ingredients in pieces, such as pea soup, for example.
