Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un fieltro de deshidratación para usarse como un fieltro de prensa en la sección de prensa de una máquina para fabricar papel, que comprende cuando menos dos capas, es decir, una primera capa que consiste de fibras textiles o hilos entretejidos, la cual primera capa en posición de uso del fieltro enfrenta y soporta el material que se va a deshidratar y una segunda capa, caracterizado en que, cuando menos después de que pase el fieltro, cuando el proceso de deshidratación ha alcanzado su estado contínuo, la segunda capa forma una capa de barrera con una resistencia al flujo en la dirección del espesor, que es elevada en comparación con aquélla de la primera capa; esa resistencia de flujo de la segunda capa es tal que el agua y el aire que han sido forzados a través de la segunda capa durante la compresión de la banda de fibra y el fieltro, debido a la presión de la prensa de cilindros son impedidos de que, fluyan de regreso a través de la segunda capa a cualquier grado significativo, cuando se crea vacío durante la expansión del fieltro después de la línea de contacto de la prensa.
