Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un material de relleno y flotabilidad que consiste en un material termoplástico y en una carga mineral u orgánica de aligeramiento resistente a la presión hidrostática; dicho material se caracteriza en que contiene del 50 al 80 por ciento por volumen de un homopolímero o de un copolímero poliolefínico o polidiolefínico y del 50 al 20 por ciento por volumen de una carga hueca de aligeramiento resistente a la presión hidrostática. Un procedimiento para fabricar un material caracterizado en que se elabora, a la temperatura ambiente, una mezcla de un polvo de un homopolímero o de un copolímero poliolefínico con microesferas ahuecadas y en la extrusión posterior de dicha mezcla con la ayuda de una hélice de proporción de compresión muy pequeña a traves de una terraja, a la temperatura usual para extruir la matriz termoplástica de que se trate.
