Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para preparar dicromato de sodio anhidro a partir de dihidrato de dicromato de sodio en cristales o en una solución concentrada, caracterizado porque se lleva a cabo continuamente en dos etapas, a una temperatura que se controla con precisión mediante una mezcla eutectica de sales fundidas; en terminos precisos, en la primera etapa se somete el dihidrato de dicromato o deshidratación-fusión rápidas, aproximadamente a 380 grados C y no más; en la segunda etapa, la masa fundida alimentada continuamente se enfría inmediatamente a 150-160 grados C, y se escama para formar un dicromato de sodio anhidro, sólido en escamas de alrededor de 1 cm cuadrado, 0.5 mm de espesor, con una densidad específica aparante de 1.10 a 25 grados C (densidad específica absoluta, 2.748 a 25 grados C).
