Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un aparato para medir la tasa de flujo en un líquido que fluye en masa, que comprende: un par de conductos paralelos rectos, teniendo cada uno extremos opuestos, así como un eje y un punto medio entre dichos extremos opuestos; medios de soporte conectados a los conductos para sujetar dichos extremos opuestos en posiciones substancialmente fijas, medios de conexión conectados a los medios de soporte para suministrar un flujo de líquido cuya tasa de flujo en masa va a ser medida al par de conductos paralelos, recibiendo cada conducto aproximadamente una mitad del líquido flotante en un extremo de dichos medios de soporte y recombinando el líquido flotante al otro extremo de los medios de soporte; medios de conducción asociados con dichos conductos por oscilaciones de los conductos acercándose y alejándose uno del otro a una frecuencia seleccionada en una dirección transversal a sus ejes respectivos y substancialmente a su punto medio respectivo, por lo menos un sensor para registrar el movimiento de dichos conductos en un punto de registro espaciado de cada punto medio y de los extremos opuestos para registrar cualquier diferencia de fase de la frecuencia seleccionada entre dichos conductos paralelos y en donde cada uno de dichos medios de soporte incluye conductos flexibles cada uno formado en una configuración curva aproximada a una S para conducir el flujo de líqudio dentro y fuera de cada uno de los conductos paralelos rectos para absorber la fuerza térmica en donde la deformación o ruptura de los conductos paralelos rectos debida a los cambios de de temperatura o gradientes térmicos, es indebida.
