Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un procedimient en fase de vapor, continuo, para preparar alquil mercaptanos de 1 a 18 átomos de carbono, de alta ureza, R-S-H, que comprende hacer reaccionar sulf uro de dialquilo, R-S-R, en donde R es alquilo de 1 a 18 átomos de carbono o cicloalquilo de 6 a 18 átomos de carbono, con un exceso molar de ácido sufhídrico a temperatura elevada, en presencia de u na zeolita del tipo X, del tipo Y o del tipo L, qu contiene por lo menos 10 por ciento en peso de u n metal alcalino expresado como Na2O.
