Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un macho de arena consumible, caracterizado porque tiene: a) buenas propiedades de desmoldeo, b) buena resistencia al lavado, c) libertad de penetración superficial, d) buena duración o vida en estante y e) alta resistencia de macho para resistir presiones que exceden 70.3 kg/cm cuadrado (1000 psi) y para formar regiones de muesca lisas en una fundición en matriz, cuyo macho esencialmente consiste de: A) una base de arena, que tiene granos que se tocan entre sí, con los espacios entre los granos cuando menos parcialmente llenos con un aglutinante de resina; B) un primer revestimiento acuoso en la base, que esencialmente consiste de: 1) cuando menos aproximadamente 40 por ciento en peso del primer revestimiento de un refractario que comprende sílice fundida que tiene un tamaño de partículas inferior a aproximadamente 100 micras y un tamaño de partículas promedio inferior a aproximadamente 50 micras; 2) cuando menos 1 por ciento y menos de aproximadamente 15 por ciento en peso de el primer revestimiento acuoso de un aglutinante; y 3) cuando menos .01 por ciento y menos de aproximadamente 1.5 por ciento en peso de el primer revestimiento acuoso de cuando menos dos aditivos diferenciales, selectos de los grupos de aditivos que consisten de agentes de suspensión, dispersantes, agentes humectantes y agentes anti-costra y C) un segundo revestimiento para liberación líquido.
