Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una batería de plomo-ácido, sellada, de celdas múltiples, resistente a las vibraciones, de tipo recombinante, que tiene un contenedor del vaso de monobloque con compartimientos de celdas y una tapa, placas porosas, positivas y negativas, con lengüetas proyectantes colocadas en los compartimientos de celdas, un material separador poroso, intercalado entre las placas de polaridad opuesta, electrólito absorbido en las placas y separadores y presente en una cantidad escasa, los compartimientos de celdas están separados por divisiones interceldas, que tienen ranuras en sus extremos superiores, las lengüetas de las placas de una polaridad de una celda se unen a las lengüetas de las placas de la otra polaridad de una celda adyacente, por una combinación de faja y conector interceldas, cuya superficie superior se coloca estrechamente adyacente a cuando menos una porción del lado inferior de la tapa de la batería, y cuya superficie se apoya substancialmente en la ranura de la división interceldas y aún está espaciada esencialmente de las placas y separadores, para inhibir la formación de trayectorias de puente del electrólito entre las celdas y los corto-circuitos.
