Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para retardar el cultivo de algas en un sistema abierto de agua, el cual comprende: establecer una concentración de un tinte en dicha agua; donde dicho tinte es un tinte soluble en agua, el cual absorbe luz a una longitud de onda requerida por dicha algas para hacer la fotosíntesis; donde dicha concentración es establecida en una cantidad efectiva para retardar substancialmente la fotosíntesis por las algas.
