Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para purificar lisocelina, adecuado para eliminar las impurezas de ácido graso y de sal de éster de ácido graso de los sólidos de lisocelina, caracterizado porque comprende los pasos de; mezclar los sólidos de lisocelina que contienen las impurezas con suficiente ácido halogenhídrico para convertir las impurezas de sal de éster de ácido graso a sales halogenuro de metal solubles en agua y ácidos grasos libres, insolubles en agua y convertir las sales de lisocelina a las sales halogenuro de metal solubles en agua y ácido lisocelínico insoluble en agua; separar la solución acuosa que contiene las sales halogenuro del ácido lisocelínico y los sólidos de ácido graso; mezclar los sólidos de ácido lisocelínico y de ácido graso con suficiente reactivo cáustico para convertir los ácidos grasos libres a las sales de metal alcalino solubles en agua y convertir el ácido lisocelínico a sales de lisocelina de metal alcalino, solubles en agua; y separar la solución acuosa que contiene las sales de metal alcalino de ácido graso solubles en agua de los sólidos de lisocelina de metal alcalino, produciendo de esa manera un producto de losocelina purificado que contiene más de 90 por ciento de lisocelina de metal alcalino y menos de 10 por ciento de imprezas, en la forma de ácidos grasos y sales de éster de ácido graso.
