Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un empaque compuesto para sellar componentes yuxtapuestos de motores, cuyo empaque compuesto comprende, en combinación: (a) una capa de material de grafito expendido, (b) una capa, cuando menos, de aluminio, la cual tenga una pluralidad de proyecciones que se extienden hacia dentro del material de la capa de grafito expandido para afianzar mecánicamente entre sí dichas capas de aluminio y de grafito; (c) una capa de material de revestimiento, la cual se coloca sobre la superficie exterior de la capa de aluminio.
