The present utility model relates to the field of transporting and storing gases, and more particularly to a gas cylinder.Proposed is a gas cylinder having an outside diameter in a range of from 480 mm to 520 mm and an inside hydraulic volume in a range of from more than 350 litres to 430 litres.The technical result is an increase in the inside hydraulic volume of a container for gas cylinders (by inside hydraulic volume of a container is meant the total hydraulic volume of the gas cylinders disposed in the container) when cylinders are placed in said container, wherein the length of the container is from 2986 mm to 2991 mm (in accordance with GOST R 53350-2009), the width is from 2433 mm to 2438 mm (in accordance with GOST R 53350-2009) and the height is from 2891 mm to 2896 mm, or the length is from 6052 mm to 6058 mm (in accordance with GOST R 53350-2009), the width is from 2433 mm to 2438 mm (in accordance with GOST R 53350-2009) and the height is from 2891 mm to 2896 mm, or the length is from 9115 mm to 9125 mm (in accordance with GOST R 53350-2009), the width is from 2433 mm to 2438 mm (in accordance with GOST R 53350-2009) and the height is from 2891 mm to 2896 mm (in accordance with GOST R 53350-2009).
