Invenţia se referă la purificarea apelor reziduale de impurităţi radioactive.Esenţa invenţiei constă în aceea că procedeul propus include tratarea biologică a apelor reziduale prin cultivarea tulpinii algei roşii Porphyridium cruentumCNM-AR-01 printr-un procedeu semicontinuu şi separarea ulterioară a biomasei.Rezultatul tehnic al invenţiei constă în sporirea acumulării ionilor de uranil.
