Abstract

The invention relates to medicine, in particular to gastroenterology and can be used to predict the evolution of ulcerative colitis.According to the invention, the claimed method includes the clinical and paraclinical examination, with the definition of the following parameters: age at the onset of development of pathology (VD), the degree of severity of development of pathology (GSDP), the location of pathology at the onset of disease (LPD), complications in early disease (CDP), time from the onset of pathology to the specific treatment (TDPTS), time from the onset of pathology to the remission (TDPR), time from the onset of pathology to the relapse (TDPPR), then is calculated the discriminant function (F) by the formula:F = - 5.000 - 0.942 x VD + 1.171 x GSDP + 1.811 x LPD + 1.311 x CDP + 0.492 x TDPTS + 1.024 x TDPR - 0.637 x TDPPR.In the event when F <0 it is predicted a favorable evolution, and when F> 0 - an unfavorable evolution of ulcerative colitis.
