Abstract
Description
The invention relates to medicine, in particular to a method of treating burns of I-IIIA degree.
Burns are one of the most common injuries sustained in everyday and industrial conditions, of which thermal burns constitute 90…95% of all types of burns.
The open and closed method of treating burns is known, which consists of initially applying infrared rays to the wound, then applying dressings soaked in medicinal remedies to the wound [1].
The disadvantage of open methods is the need to ensure antiseptic and thermal conditions in the rooms, which requires a flow of purified warm air emitted by air conditioning systems. It is also necessary to ensure thermal comfort with the help of infrared sources for heating and drying wound surfaces while immobilizing patients in bed.
As the closest solution, the method of treating combustions using "Regesan" grape seed oil is known [2].
The disadvantage of this method is the low efficiency of the indicated remedy and the long-term application with a risk of wound infection.
The problem solved by the invention is to expand the arsenal of methods used for the treatment of burns and reduce the duration of treatment of burn wounds.
The method, according to the invention, consists in that on the first and second day of treatment, sol. Ketoprofen - 100 mg is administered intramuscularly, once a day, and locally the wounds are treated with sol. Betadine 1%, at the same time, from the first day of treatment, dressings with grape seed oil and pumpkin seed oil, taken in a ratio of 1:1, are applied to the wounds for 6 days.
The result is a reduction in the risk of tissue infection in the case of thermal burns with the improvement and intensification of the regeneration processes of burn wounds 4...5 days earlier, which reduces the duration of patient hospitalization, contributes to reducing treatment costs and avoiding the use of expensive healing preparations.
The advantage of the claimed method is that it reduces the epithelialization period by 4...5 days compared to the closest solution.
Metoda propusă se efectuează în felul următor. The proposed method is performed in the following way.
Initially, primary wound treatment is performed, with resection of fluid-filled vesicles and removal of necrotic tissues. Subsequently, on the first and second day of treatment, intramuscular sol. Ketoprofen - 100 mg, once a day, and locally the wounds are treated with sol. Betadine 1%, at the same time, from the first day of treatment, dressings with grape seed oil and pumpkin seed oil, taken in a 1:1 ratio, are applied to the wounds for 6 days.
Exemplu Example
Patient C., 43 years old, hospitalized with the diagnosis of grade II - IIIA thermal burn of the upper limb in the medial region of the forearm and palm.
In the procedure room, primary wound treatment was performed. Objectively, large vesicles filled with serous fluid were evident in the palmar regions of fingers 3, 4 and on the entire medial surface of finger 1. In the medial region of the forearm, multiple necrotic epithelium with pronounced hyperemia of the adjacent regions and edema of the tissues was observed. The vesicles were resected and the necrotic layers of the skin were removed. Subsequently, on the first and second days of treatment, sol. Ketoprofen - 100 mg was administered intramuscularly, once a day, and locally the wounds were treated with sol. Betadine 1%, at the same time, from the first day of treatment, dressings with grape seed oil and pumpkin seed oil, taken in a ratio of 1:1, were applied to the wound for 6 days.
On the 6th day, after removing the dressing, the definitive epithelialization of the wounds was evident.
The epithelialization of the wounds was completed with the formation of a fine scar, which does not cause inconvenience in the activity of the previously injured region.
Similar results were obtained in the treatment of thermal burns in other regions of the body.
Compared to the term of wound treatment with the Regesan product (9…10 days), epithelialization of wounds treated by applying the proposed method occurred 4…5 days earlier.
