Abstract

The invention relates to heating systems intended for preventing freezing of windscreen wipers upon formation of icy or snowy blockings at low temperatures, heavy snow or other adverse weather conditions. The windscreen wiper infrared-radiation heating system comprises an infrared-radiation heating element, placed longitudinally in the hollow body of the windscreen wiper (7), the remaining free space of which is filled with an elastic material. The heating element is made of a plastic flexible rod, on which is uniformly fixed a resistive infrared-ray emitting layer, covered with a thermostable plastic layer, at the ends of which are secured airtight rubber stoppers, through the holes of which passes an electrical wire, which through the connection of a coupling (5) connects the heating element to the electrical equipment system of the car. The heating system is equipped with a temperature limit switch (1), placed under the hood of the car and a knob for manual disconnection (16) of the heating element from the electrical equipment system of the car.
