Abstract

The invention relates to optoelectronics, particularly to fiber-optical devices for recording of ionizing radiation, which can be used for recording and measuring of ionizing radiation intensity in research, medicine and industry.Interferometric fiber-optical sensor for recording of ionizing radiation contains a coherent light source, connected to a beam splitter, coupled with the arms of a fiber-optical Mach-Zehnder interferometer, which are recombined through a fiber-optical connector to form an interferometric pattern on the photosensitive surface of a photodetector connected to the output signal forming unit, at the same time the optical fiber of the measuring arm is equipped with a temperature cooling and stabilization device. The photodetector is connected to an output signal forming processor, uniquely determined by the intensity of ionizing radiation directed on the lateral surface of the optical fiber of the measuring arm. The sensor contains as an output signal forming unit a computer, equipped with an interference pattern processing and output signal formation software.The result of the invention is to substantially increase the sensitivity of recording of ionizing radiation and dynamic range.
