Abstract

The invention refers to biotechnology, in particular to a medium for cultivation of Propionibacterium freudenreichii s.s. shermanii used in the microbiological and food industries.The cultivation medium, according to the invention, comprises corn extract, glucose, (NH4)2SO4, 5,6-dimethylbenzimidazol and the coordinative compound fac-[Co(NH2CH2 CH2O)3]·3H2O or fac-[Co(NH2CH2 CH2OH)3](NO3)3, in the following component ratio, in g/L:
