Abstract

The invention refers to medicine, in particular to the plastic surgery and orthopedics and may be used for plasty of plantar defects.The method of elongating the vascular pedicle for the medial plantar flap displaced by the Y-V technique consists in that it is carried out an incision of the skin in the medial plantar region, it is identified the trunk of the superficial medial plantar artery at the level of its bifurcation in the distal and proximal branches and it is formed a fasciocutaneous flap from the zone vascularized from the proximal branch of the superficial medial plantar artery. Then, it is sectioned and ligated said trunk more proximal from the bifurcation and it is displaced the flap in the necessary place for plasty with elongation of the vascular pedicle at the expense of distal branch of the superficial medial plantar artery.
