Abstract

The invention relates to a fireproof thermoprotective material. The material, according to the invention, consists of a fibrous multilayer warp made of cylindrical glass fibres and a metallized coating applied onto its surface, at the same time the fibres contain a core from metal phase-transition substance, constituting 40…80% of the fibre cross-section. The metal phase-transition substance represents a fusible alloy of metals with high specific melting heat and with the melting point below the temperature of softening of the used glass. The fibrous warp consists of alternating layers, wherein the glass fibres contain cores from phase-transition substances with different specific melting heat, at the same time the fibres of the external layers, oriented towards the heat source, contain cores from phase-transition substances with a higher melting point as compared with the fibres of the internal layers.
