Abstract

The invention relates to the field of nondestructive testing and may be used for ultrasonic testing of materials and articles in the metallurgy, machine-building and electric-power industry.The method for ultrasonic testing of the burr weld consists in that in the tested article there are generated ultrasonic oscillations, it is formed a strobe pulse, there are detected and amplified the reflected echo signals, there are separated the useful signals and according to the obtained characteristics it is estimated the quality of the weld. At the end of each periodic weld testing cycle it is supplementary marked out a clock time, it is received the echo signal from the burr, and the obtained succession of the echo signals is integrated by a smoothly varying tension, which is proportional to the average amplitude of the echo signals from the weld's burr.
