Abstract

The device has an oscillation producing arrangement (18) for initiating a blister cavity (12) of a blister package (13) to oscillations in sound region e.g. ultrasound region. The arrangement produces the oscillations with variable frequency in variable or constant amplitude. A measuring unit (19) is provided for measuring an oscillation response of the cavity. An analysis unit (21) determines amount of package goods such as the package good weight, based on a comparison of the response with reference values. An independent claim is also included for a measuring method of measuring the amount e.g. dry weight, of package goods such as medicated powder, which is arranged in a blister cavity of a blister package.
