Abstract

The invention refers to agriculture and may be used in phytotechny for assessing the corn hybrids and lines resistance to drought.The invention includes germination of corn seeds in optimal conditions and in modeling conditions of physiological drought, determination of the dissipation energy released in the process of seed respiration and comparison of values thereof. More resistant to drought are considered those plants, to which the difference between the values of the dissipated energy in optimal conditions and in modeling conditions of physiological drought is smaller.The result of the invention consists in increasing the precision of the method of assessment of corn resistance to drought.
