Abstract

The invention relates to the tobacco industry, namely to a process for cutting of tobacco leaves before their cutting into strips. The process consists in the oriented laying of tobacco leaves and topping of the leaves. Novelty of the invention consists in that the oriented laying of tobacco leaves is carried out so that the central nerves of the tobacco leaves may form an acute angle with the top cutting line, the thickness of the central nerves in the cutting place shall be up to 2 mm, at the same time the tobacco leaves are laid both open and bent along the central nerves.The result consists in increasing the tobacco volume of the first fraction.Claims: 1Fig.: 6
