Abstract

The invention relates to reactors for water purification, in particular to a photocatalytic reactor for water purification from persistent organic contaminants and microorganisms.The reactor, according to the invention, includes a cylindrical carcass (1) with covers (5, 6), equipped with an inlet branch pipe (2) in the bottom part and an outlet branch pipe (3) in the upper part of the carcass (1). In the carcass (1) it is coaxially installed a quartz cylinder (7), wherein it is placed an ultra-violet lamp (9), and in the space between the cylinder (7) and carcass (1) it is placed in the bottom part a charge (10) of spherical magnetized particles, above which there are placed in turn two types of conic perforated reflectors (4), namely of a small diameter, attached with the upper edge to the quartz cylinder (7), and of a great diameter, attached with the lower edge to the wall of the carcass (1), both types are made at an angle of 45…60° with the axis of the carcass (1) and located in such a way as to prevent overlapping of the photoemissive zones. The reflectors (4) are made of titanium and coated with a layer of titanium dioxide in the form of nanotubes (8). Outside the carcass (1), at the level of the magnetized charge (10), it is installed a solenoid (11) attached to an alternating current source (12).
