Abstract

The invention relates to the musical wind-instruments with vibrating reed, in particular to a tarogato.The tarogato consists of a mouthpiece with reed, dismountable body with a conic sound tube, enlarged towards the lower part, sound openings, a bell mouth, vents and levers. Novelty consists in that the inclination angle of the internal part of the sound tube about the axis of the tube constitutes 1°35'…1°45'; the relationship between the diameter of the sound tube, measured from the bell mouth and the diameter of the said tube, measured from the mouthpiece constitutes 4,6…5,7; the relationship between the height of the conic sound tube, measured from the start of the mouthpiece to the base of the sound tube from the bell mouth and the height of the sound openings consecutively numbered from the mouthpiece to the bell mouth, as well as the relationship between the height of the sound tube, measured from the start of the mouthpiece to the centre of the sound openings and the diameter of the said openings constitute certain prescribed values.The manufacture of the tarogato with the aforementioned dimensions gives the possibility to create a tarogato with fixed tuning in “Si-flat” (B) and a range of three octaves - from “Si-flat” of the big octave to “la” of the third octave. Enlargement of the range is also accompanied by the improvement of the tarogato sound properties.
