Abstract

The invention relates to the installations for wind - to - mechanical energy conversion and may be used as an independent source of the electric energy.The power windmill (1) with chain gear comprises four chain branches - two of them are short (2) and the other two are long (3), installed on the guides (4). The guides are mounted at an angle. The chains (2, 3) are tightened between the sprockets (5), fixed on the shafts (6), the sprockets of the short chain branches (2) are placed inside relatively the long chain branches (3). The tightening of the chains is made in the form of two roller groups (7), placed directly on the corresponding sprockets (5).The rolles are freely installed on the cantilever axes. Each chain branch is provided with equidisposed cross - members, to which are articulated the edges of the flexible sails (12), made of canvas.The technical result of the invention consists in the possibility of increasing the canvas sails.
