Abstract

Plantele au formă eliptică cu frunzele suberecte şi inflorescenţă corimbiformă de densitate mijlocie. Înălţimea medie a plantelor (fără inflorescenţă) este de 148 cm şi variază de la 126 până la 168 cm, în funcţie de vârstă.Frunzele sesile, eliptico-alungite, de culoare verde, în faza maturităţii tehnice sunt de culoare verde-deschisă. Numărul mediu al frunzelor tehnice este, de 25-27 buc. Lungimea frunzei de la etajul mijlociu este de 52-60 cm, lăţimea de 25-32 cm.Soi semiprecoce, slab sau aproape că nu formează copileţi.Roada frunzelor uscate, respectând agrotehnica recomandată, constituie 24-28 q/ha. Materia primă se caracterizează prin culoare galbenă-aurie, de înalt randament (61-72 g/m2), având conţinut optimal de hidraţi de carbon solubil (16-19%).Posedă o rezistenţă înaltă de câmp la mozaicul tutunului, este semisensibil la virusul petelor bronzate la tutun. În perioadele de răsad şi de câmp soiul manifestă o rezistenţă la bacterioze, este rezistent la putregaiul negru al rădăcinelor.La cultivarea soiului este necesară respectarea tehnologiei stabilite pentru tutunul macrofil de tip Virginia.Prezentul brevet se bazează în întregime pe certificatul de înregistrare a realizării de selecţie nr. 5654, SU
