Abstract
The present invention relates to eco-friendly multilayer panels, specifically sandwich panels, characterized by a cork core firmly enclosed between two outer layers made of composites based on semi-hydrated β-plaster (CaSO₄·½H₂O) mixed respectively with wood waste (in the form of chips or sawdust) or granular cork waste. The use of agglomerated cork provides enhanced thermal and acoustic insulation. Furthermore, the integration of additives into the plaster panels forming the outer layers further improves thermal properties while maintaining the mechanical characteristics of the material. This combination offers additional advantages, including an environmentally friendly approach through the use of renewable and waste-derived materials.
